On April 10, 2026, Anouar Majid gave a keynote address at the 2nd International Conference on Diaspora at the University Sidi Ben Abdellah in Fez, Morocco. Titled “MEHA (Make Earth Human Again),” Majid talked about what it means to be human when the rise of life-changing technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, is challenging the very notion of humanity. The conference also celebrated the publication of the edited volume, The Moroccan Diapsoric and Transnational Experiences, for which Majid wrote a foreword.
